The Dangers Of Playing Practical Jokes At Work
It all seems like a bit of harmless fun between work mates and often it stays that way but, what happens if it goes wrong?
If you want to play a practical joke at work but you’re out of ideas, there are web sites just bursting with all the inspiration one person needs to be a funny co-worker. Is this the most responsible attitude to have though/ or is it down to the person playing the joke to take responsibility for their own actions.
So, how many of these things go wrong and what are the consequences of jokes if they go wrong?
A man named Arquel Seno Morga was stabbed by his best and close friend this was because the constant practical jokes that were being played on the best friend had become too much and the friend lost it and stabbed Arquel Seno Morga to death. He was only 35 years old when he died.
Practical jokes are funny until they go wrong. People have been set up and punched out before the realization that it’s just a joke has kicked in. Black eyes to broken jaws, the list is endless of what can go wrong and the injuries sustained.
The worst is when it’s at work and the joke goes wrong, the bucket of water over the door but the boss walks in instead or the prank phone call to a co-workers wife who doesn’t see the funny side, they can all be damaging.
Perhaps one of the recent jokes that back fired was our very own chat host, Jonathon Ross and his little long haired friend, Russell Brand. A prank phone call that was funny to them cost them more than they bargained for.
The point of a practical joke is that everyone involved, even the victim, see’s the funny side to it but when they go wrong, it’s just not funny anymore.
It can cost you your job, your friends, your partner and as we’ve seen, your life so perhaps they need lots of planning before you attempt to execute them. The work place is not the ideal setting for jokes although it’s good to have a laugh at work but it should be done with great care.
There are many web sites that offer the perfect practical joke for the right setting and situation so if you are going to execute the perfect prank, choose wisely and have save, non-consequence fun.
